1. Application of This Policy

This Day Camp Policy applies to registration, attendance, participation, payment, pick-up and drop-off, camper conduct, parent or guardian responsibilities, cancellations, safety, and emergency decisions for the day camp program. By registering a child for day camp or clicking proceed on the website, the parent or guardian agrees to this policy on behalf of the camper and confirms that they are authorized to do so.

2. Registration, Deposit, and Confirmation

The day camp program is intended primarily for children ages 5 to 10. The campground may accept campers outside that age range at its discretion, subject to program suitability, supervision considerations, and any approval process required by management.

To hold a camper’s spot, the required deposit must be paid within the time period stated at registration. Based on the current fee information in this policy, the required deposit is 50% of the camp fee, which is $85.00. Registration is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received and processed. If payment is not made on time, we may cancel the camper’s spot.

All registration payments must be made through the website or another payment method authorized by the campground before the camper attends day camp. Accepted payment methods include Visa debit, Visa credit, and Mastercard credit, unless the campground advises otherwise.

If any balance or additional program fee is due after registration, it must be paid by the due date we provide. If payment is late, we may cancel registration, suspend participation, refuse attendance, or hold back day-camp-related privileges until the account is paid in full.

Registration Requirement Current Day Camp Term
Required deposit 50% of the camp fee ($85.00)
Deposit deadline Within the time period stated by the campground at registration
Accepted payment methods Visa debit, Visa credit, and Mastercard credit, unless the campground advises otherwise
Registration status Not confirmed until the required deposit is received and processed

3. Parent and Guardian Responsibilities

The parent or guardian must provide complete and accurate registration details, emergency contact information, and any medical or behavioural information reasonably needed for the safe operation of the program, as well as any required forms, before the camper attends. The parent or guardian is responsible for informing us of allergies, medications, medical conditions, behavioural needs, support needs, custody or pick-up restrictions, and any other information that could affect the camper’s safety, participation, or supervision. Parents and guardians must ensure that each camper arrives with enough food for the day, including a lunch and at least 2 snacks, unless the campground expressly states otherwise. If an optional hot lunch program is offered, participation is voluntary, and any related fees must be paid in accordance with the registration instructions. Campers in the hot lunch program must still bring any required snacks unless the campground states otherwise.
If a parent or guardian needs to contact day camp staff during camp hours, they must use the office contact method designated by the campground. Messages may be relayed as staff availability permits. Cash, electronics, and other valuables should not be sent with campers unless expressly requested or authorized for a specific activity. The campground is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal money, electronics, or other valuables brought to the day camp.

Where required, parents or guardians must complete all waivers, acknowledgments, authorization forms, and identification verification procedures before gaining access to amenities or day-camp-related privileges. If a camper appears to need urgent medical care, emergency assistance, or other immediate attention, and the parent or guardian cannot be reached in time, the campground may contact emergency responders, seek medical advice or treatment, arrange transportation, and take reasonable temporary steps to protect the camper until the parent, guardian, or emergency contact is reached. Except where the law requires otherwise, all resulting costs remain the responsibility of the parent or guardian listed on the registration.

4. Attendance, Drop-Off, and Pick-Up

Unless otherwise communicated by the campground, day camp operates from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and scheduled activities generally take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A parent, guardian, or another person authorized in advance by the parent or guardian must sign the camper in at drop-off and out at pick-up in accordance with campground procedures. We will release a camper only to a person authorized by the parent or guardian, subject to any identification or verification procedure required by staff. If there is a court order, custody restriction, or other legal limitation affecting pick-up, the parent or guardian must provide that information and any supporting documents before attendance begins.

Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that campers are picked up no later than 4:30 p.m. A late pick-up fee of $15.00 per camper will apply for each 15-minute period, or portion thereof, after 4:30 p.m., unless the campground expressly waives the charge. Applicable late pick-up charges must be paid in accordance with campground instructions and may be required to be settled at the office by the end of the week. Failure to pay late pick-up charges may result in suspension or refusal of future participation in day camp.

Attendance Term Current Day Camp Requirement
Camp hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Activity hours 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Pick-up deadline 4:30 p.m.
Late pick-up fee $15.00 per camper for every 15 minutes, or part of 15 minutes, after 4:30 p.m.

5. Camper Preparation and Daily Requirements

Each camper must arrive prepared each day with a backpack clearly labelled with the camper’s name. Unless otherwise advised, the backpack must contain weather-appropriate outerwear, a hat, a swimsuit, a towel, a water bottle, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a change of clothes.

Campers must wear closed-toe shoes with socks each day. They may also bring sandals or flip-flops where appropriate for specific activities.

If a camper benefits from quiet or independent time, the parent or guardian may send suitable non-electronic items, such as books or quiet activities. Phones, tablets, gaming devices, and other electronics must not be brought to day camp unless the campground expressly authorizes them.

6. Program Activities, Conduct, and Safety Rules

Campers may participate in scheduled activities such as hikes, campfires, hay wagon rides, and waterslide activities, subject to age, safety, weather, staffing, and program considerations. Swimming in the pool during day camp hours is prohibited unless the campground expressly states otherwise.

Campers must follow staff instructions, safety rules, activity rules, and behavioural expectations at all times. The campground maintains a zero-tolerance policy for conduct that is unsafe, violent, threatening, abusive, harassing, seriously disruptive, or otherwise inappropriate toward staff or other campers. Parents and guardians are responsible for making sure their camper understands and follows these expectations.

If a camper engages in conduct that, in the campground’s opinion, is unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate, the parent or guardian may be required to arrange immediate pick-up. Depending on the nature or severity of the conduct, the campground may suspend the camper, terminate participation, or refuse future attendance. No refund will be provided in those circumstances, except where required by applicable law.

The campground’s zero-tolerance expectations also apply to parents, guardians, and other adults interacting with staff or campers. Threatening, abusive, harassing, or unsafe conduct by an adult may result in immediate restrictions, removal from the property, cancellation of participation, or refusal of future registration, without refund were permitted by law.

7. Cancellations, Refunds, and No-Refund Circumstances

Day camp registration payments reserve the camper’s place in the program and are subject to the cancellation terms in this section. Cancellation requests must be made in writing and are not effective until the campground receives and acknowledges them.

If we receive your written cancellation 21 to 60 days before the first day of camp, you will forfeit 25% of the deposit. Based on the current $85.00 deposit, the forfeited amount is $21.25, plus any applicable administration and hot lunch fees.

If written cancellation is received less than 21 days before the first day of camp, a cancellation charge equal to 75% of the deposit will apply. Based on the current deposit of $85.00, the deposit forfeiture is $63.75, in addition to any applicable administration and hot lunch fees.

If a written cancellation is received less than 7 days before the first day of camp, no refund of the day-camp registration fee will be issued.

No refund will be provided when a camper is removed, suspended, or denied future attendance due to conduct, safety, behavioural, or policy-compliance issues, except as required by applicable law.

8. Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Responsibility

Day camp activities involve inherent risks, including outdoor activity risks, weather, insects, uneven terrain, campfires, transportation-related movement within the campground, recreational play, and the acts or omissions of other participants. By registering a camper, the parent or guardian acknowledges and accepts these inherent risks to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the campground, its owners, operators, management, employees, and agents are not responsible for personal injury, illness, property loss or damage, delay, cancellation, or program disruption arising from inherent risks, acts of other participants, weather, operational issues beyond the campground’s reasonable control, or any circumstance in which liability cannot lawfully be imposed.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the parent or guardian accepts the inherent risks of the camper’s participation and is responsible for loss, damage, cost, or claim arising from the acts or omissions of the camper, the parent or guardian, or an authorized pick-up person, including damage to property, unpaid fees, or costs caused by failure to follow this policy or staff instructions.

9. Enforcement and Program Administration

The campground may establish additional reasonable operational rules, activity-specific requirements, health and safety protocols, sign-in and sign-out procedures, and communication practices to properly administer day camp. Those requirements, when communicated to parents or guardians, form part of this policy.

The campground may refuse attendance, suspend participation, remove a camper from an activity, restrict privileges, or require immediate pick-up where reasonably necessary for safety, supervision, behavioural management, program integrity, or compliance with this policy.

10. Acknowledgment and Acceptance

By registering a camper, checking the required box, or clicking proceed on the website, the parent or guardian confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Day Camp Policy, including the sections on registration, payment, attendance, camper conduct, cancellations, assumption of risk, medical consent, and enforcement.
